I have been on LJ for quite awhile now and have taken most of the quizzes/memes that you guys have posted even though I never posted the results. I have found that while they are often amusing they always seem kinda random. Some of them are where you just type in your username and it populates fields off your LJ friends list (truly random) while others are where you answer some questions and then are told what kind of _______(movie character,season, etc) you are (always easy to figure out what they are looking for and thus get the answer you desire). Now don't get me wrong those type of quizzes are fun and i'm not knocking doing them. Like I said they are almost always amusing. However after this last week or so since I have started taking more of an active part in LJ I have been looking around for some of the more interesting type quiz/meme things to post. I thought the one that came up the other day was pretty cool that asked a bunch of questions about different people on your friends list. It managed to make you laugh but at the same time if you answered honestly it made you think a bit too and about things and situations you hadn't considered before. Anyway, this all brings me around to the statement below that I saw in someone's journal when I was randomly looking around today. They talked about even though all thier LJ friends were also thier real life friends that they saw on a daily basis (like me) they still got some really interesting questions and responses from this. I know that technically this isn't a quiz or meme but to me this is the kind of interesting stuff that LJ is a good use for. That and porn of course. Heh. And if you guys think this is just kinda stupid that's cool then just ignore the post and i'll get the idea and won't post anymore stuff like this.
